Book Review: Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones, by James Clear

I read a lot of books, and books that fall into the self help category rarely make it on my blog. But this one, Atomic Habits by James Clear, this one ended up on my bookshelf.

As with most books, I usually get them on my Libby app, checked out for free from the library. It’s even better if I can get an audiobook version so I can listen to the book while driving. I started this one as an audiobook. The title caught my attention, and I gave it my usual “you get one chapter, maybe two if you can keep my attention”. My attention was most definitely kept, and I learned a great deal about behavior, and how much of a difference little habits can make.

Needless to say, I have implemented many things from the book. I think back to the advice often when I’m feeling like I don’t want to do something that I should, and sure enough, just as described, those little atomic changes in behavior lead to larger changes.

If you have some habits you want to stop, or start, and don’t have much time, or maybe even motivation, this book will definitely guide you to at least be able to begin.

Most definitely a full five stars. The hardcover book is now on my bookshelf, to be referenced often.
